01 / YOUR STARTING POINT

Where are you starting from?

Choose the closest match. Use it to plan your next checks, not as an admission decision.

Choose the degree behind the campus.

Compare the modules, entry subjects and teaching language before the prospectus photographs. Check whether the qualification supports the next step you want in the UAE, India or elsewhere.

CAA · accredited programmes
  1. 01Shortlist the actual campus and awarding institution.
  2. 02Check school results, English evidence and any subject prerequisites.
  3. 03Get the programme’s recognition and complete fee schedule.
  4. 04Ask how projects, internships and academic support work.
Keep in mind

A famous overseas parent university does not make every branch-campus programme identical.

02 / THE REAL COST

Price the campus you will actually use.

The UAE comparison is about the award, the emirate and the complete offer.

01

Tuition can be quoted per credit

Turn a per-credit figure into the credits required for the qualification. Add mandatory charges and ask what repeating a course would cost. A first-semester discount is not the price of the whole degree.

02

The commute belongs in the budget

Compare campus housing, a shared apartment and living with family. Include transport, meals and utilities; check whether advertised accommodation covers the summer.

03

Recognition has more than one layer

Use the CAA register for federal programme accreditation and the relevant local authority for the campus. For a regulated profession or further study abroad, also check the destination regulator or admitting university.

03 / MAKE THE NUMBERS YOURS

What would your first year look like?

Change the example figures to match your shortlist. See the expenses and the cash you may need to set aside.

UNIVERSITY STUDY / 12 MONTHS / AED

Illustrative AED first-year plan for a fee-paying degree, not a quote from the pictured university. Tuition and compulsory fees are annual assumptions. Monthly living covers accommodation, food, transport and daily expenses. Arrival is an allowance for travel, applications, residence-related charges, insurance and settling in—replace it with itemised quotes and count each cost once. Refundable deposits remain separate. Include a non-refundable reservation charge within costs where it is not credited to tuition; do not put it in the refundable-deposit field.

04 / FUNDING THE MOVE

Find the right kind of support.

Start with an affordable study plan. Then explore funding that matches your background.

01

Compare the fee after the award

Ask whether the scholarship applies to tuition only and whether it lasts for a semester, a year or the course. Record the grades and credit load needed to renew it.

Explore an institution’s funding options
02

Look at graduate assistantships

Some institutions offer competitive teaching or research assistantships. Check eligibility, duties, workload and the written award. Admission alone does not include an assistantship.

Read the graduate policy
03

Keep a funded fallback

Compare offers you could afford if an unconfirmed award does not arrive. Ask about payment dates and refund conditions before paying a reservation or tuition deposit.

Check fees and payment terms

Student work needs the right permission

For non-national students, the MOHRE student training and work permit requires valid UAE residence. The employer and relevant authority must confirm the permit route; free-zone arrangements may differ. Do not import another country’s weekly work-hour rule.

Ask what an internship involves

Get the duties, supervision, assessment, pay and permission requirements before accepting. A curriculum mentioning industry exposure does not confirm a placement for every student.

Prepare for the step after graduation

A degree does not automatically grant a job or permanent residence. Build projects, professional contacts and field-specific skills while checking the residence and work permission needed for the next stage.

06 / KEEP YOUR PLAN CURRENT

Worth knowing before you apply.

Reviewed guidance and official publishers to follow as your plan develops.

CHECK THE AWARD

Verify the programme, not only the name

Use the current CAA and local-authority records for the campus you are considering. Keep written confirmation of the award and its recognition for your intended next step.

BEFORE YOU COMMIT

Put the residence arrangement beside the offer

Check sponsorship, required documents and payment/refund milestones together. An academic offer is one part of preparing to study in the UAE.

THE QUESTIONS THAT MATTER

A little more clarity.

Useful answers to bring into your next conversation.

Check the award wording and programme recognition, then compare teaching, facilities and transfer arrangements. Shared branding does not answer all those questions.
